Provision to work keeping-in-touch days

An employee may work up to 10 days during her maternity leave without bringing it to an end or losing her statutory maternity pay (SMP) (reg.12A of the Maternity and Parental Leave etc Regulations 1999 (SI 1999/3312) and reg.9A of the Statutory Maternity Pay (General) Regulations 1986 (SI 1986/1960)). This is to enable the employer and employee to keep in touch during maternity leave.
